She’s a police officer, her ex-boyfriend entered her house through the window and she stabbed him

Nahuel Ezequiel Cruz, 29 years old, had a restraining order and three complaints for violence. He broke the order and entered the house of his ex-girlfriend Gisela Erika Giménez, 35, a member of the Buenos Aires Police.

According to the versions, Nahuel entered the house through the window to check him and take his cell phone. Gisela defended herself with a knife and killed the young man.

In June it was the first complaint, when at 11:30 p.m. he felt that someone was entering through the window of his house. She saw him rip the phone off the charger and run away. Gisela, who was serving in the La Matanza Local Prevention Police Unit, ran it to recover it.

As described in the police report, “Keki”, as Nahuel was called, punched her in the face, grabbed her by the neck and took her keys and money, as well as her phone. When Gisela wanted to return to her house, she chased her away.

According to what was reported at the time by the police, he continued to hit her, spit on her, and even threw a bucket of water at her. Then, the driver of a car helped him stop: “You sent me to the cap,” Cruz reproached him and escaped.

That assault earned him a complaint and an approach restriction that was never fulfilled.

The fatal outcome occurred this Saturday and officer Giménez was detained for a few hours. But the prosecutor Gastón Duplaá decided not to take “any temper” once morest her and the officer she was released.

It all happened when Nahuel once once more tried to control the woman with his cell phone. She resisted giving it to him and started a new fight that ended with a stabbing. Cruz died on the kitchen floor of the house they shared at the time.

The result of the autopsy is still awaited to establish the mechanics of the crime. The truth is that for Duplaá, it was a “homicide in legitimate defense”, which is why the woman was released.

The death of “Keki” caused the pain of her family and friends, who demand that the officer continue to be detained.

“This is the police who killed Keki. They lived together and Nahuel was the only person you had, you paid him rent, food, etc. The only one who took you to the cures and was in all your accident. The only one who didn’t leave you alone, the only one you really wanted and look how you paid him. Let justice be done, let this not come to nothing. Let it be known that what they say is a lie,” Hugo, one of the deceased’s friends, posted on social media.

“You drove him crazy, you denigrated him for being the way he was. You didn’t know how to appreciate what the kid did for you… You did a thousand and one to keep him away from his family and friends, you got tired of driving him crazy and when he no longer served you, you took his life, ”he questioned.

This Monday, at 8:30 a.m., family and friends of the young man called a mobilization to demand justice for the death of Nahuel and give his version of the facts.

“We ask friends and acquaintances to please come to Keki’s house, so that they do not cover the entire cause,” published Micaela, Nahuel’s cousin.
