Winter and rain are returning to France for this week of Monday February 20. Here are the forecasts for the coming days.
After a week of spring, winter will return to France for the week to come. From Monday, temperatures will drop. On the sky side, showers will dominate France from Wednesday. In short, the good weather is leaving. On average, the mercury will drop regarding ten degrees.
Monday and Tuesday, the sun resists
On Monday, “mists are numerous in the morning in the north, near the Pyrenees as well as in the Saône valley. In the followingnoon, the sky will clear, except near the Channel. In Provence Côte d’Azur and in Corsica , the low clouds persist all day”, details The Weather Channel.
The next day, the sky will be a little more veiled in the west. “Near the Mediterranean, on the other hand, there will be many maritime entries, bringing some showers to the Cévennes”, adds the meteorological agency.
On the mercury side, the thermometer will always display pleasant temperatures. For these two days, it will still be 10 to 15 ° C on the northern half, and between 15 and 20 ° C on the southern part.
Wednesday rhymes with degradation
“After several weeks of anticyclonic weather, a disturbance descending from the British Isles and linked to a cold drop aloft (or surface depression) will descend along the Atlantic regions. But it will not affect all regions and will be of lesser intensity than ‘considered initially’, writes the meteorologist Gilles Maticon.
This return of the rain is good news “for the soils” of France which are already drying up in February.
For Wednesday, “in front of this disturbance, the sky will be loaded with a few showers which will remain scattered. From Alsace to the Alps, the clearings will continue all day”, specifies The Weather Channel.
Then, Thursday and Friday, the rains will shift slowly towards the east of France, while temperatures will not reach 15°C. In the morning, it will be between 3 and 10°C throughout the territory. In the followingnoon the mercury will rise very little.
