Urban raid to women’s destinations, the Parisian edition of Pop In The City will take place on Saturday June 24th. Some 600 participants are expected.
Cross Les Halles on a rope bridge, abseil down the Grand Rex, learn regarding improvisation with the “queen” Bérengère Krief, join the river brigade and ride on the Seine, play painters on the Place du Tertre… So many unusual challenges that marked the last edition of Pop In The City in 2018. What does the 2023 vintage have in store, for the moment a well-kept secret.
Only certainty, registrations for Pop In Paris will open on February 21 at 12:00 p.m. on the urban raid website.
Through tourist discovery, Pop In the City promotes “women’s sport, daring and empowerment”. One more Anglicism, some prefer the word empowerment. In short, a whole concept that revolves around acceptance and self-esteem, but which also claims values of ambition and power.
On Pop In The City, the race lasts regarding eight hours in pairs. No less than 30 challenges in different worlds (art, sport, extreme, solidarity and culture) are on the program. In the capital, some 600 participants will be expected for this new edition.
This 100% female event takes place, “in European cities with a strong identity, which are not necessarily capitals but which have character” specifies a press release. Since 2012, Pop In the City has accumulated 35 editions in 10 countries.
