In the eighth minute, Gladbach striker Pléa went down following a slight contact with Upamecano. The Bayern defender was sent off with a red card because of an emergency brake – a very, very tough decision that the VAR did not revise. Shortly therefollowing, Stindl scored to make it 1-0 for Gladbach.

Yan Summers. This is not how the 34-year-old had imagined his return to Gladbach. After the early dismissal, the goalie had to distinguish himself once more and once more. Without the summer, Bayern’s bankruptcy might have been even higher.
