The sympathetic VSV defender prevailed yesterday in the voting of the Radio Kärnten listeners in a superior manner once morest his Klagenfurt opponent Johannes Bischofberger and can now call himself Carinthia’s ice hockey superstar 2022/23. After Markus Schlacher, an “eagle” has finally received this very special award in 2018/19.
“Lindi” follows in the footsteps of VSV legends such as Herbert Hohenberger, Peter Raffl, Brad Schlegel and Ken Strong. “It’s a very special award, mainly because it was voted on by Carinthian ice hockey fans. I’m really overwhelmed and very happy. I would like to thank everyone who voted for me. VSV fans, you are the best,” says the new “superstar”! Lindner also sees this award as a mandate to continue giving everything for VSV and its fans.
Philipp Lindner is playing the best season of his career this year, has a total of 25 points, eight of which are goals. This also makes him the Austrian defender with the best points in the league.
