Gangure signs 3 mountain routes in the Arrizuriaga area

Three new healthy mountain routes They have been signposted in Galdakao to promote hiking and, at the same time, value the benefits of this sporting activity and the natural environment of the municipal area. The initiative returns to form part of the collaboration agreement between the Ganguren Mendi Taldea mountain club and the Consistory and, on this occasion, three paths corresponding to the Arrizuriaga area have been perfectly marked and identified. The main itinerary starts from Artola-Kortederra, but two complementary routes have also been signposted: the one that starts from the Erletxe industrial estates and the one that starts from Menikana-Dendeleta. Total, 10 kilometers of the area have been marked out and 17 wooden posts, 39 directional arrows and 3 information panels have been placed. In addition, an explanatory and informative map of the routes has been prepared, of which 1,000 copies have been published and will be distributed at the Ganguren headquarters. The main route is from Kortederra to Artola, following the Mugarriz Mugarri route, but the initiative is completed with a series of auxiliary routes from different accesses that make it a network with various possibilities and itineraries.

Once the last works were completed, Pedro Aizarna and Eduardo Olea, from Ganguren Mendi Taldea, visited the signs together with the councilors Asier Egiraun and Nerea Orozko to show the City Council’s gratitude for the work being carried out by the local mountain group to give to know and take care of the natural environment of the town marking new routes.

And, in addition, In addition, Ganguren Mendi Taldea has taken the opportunity to review and reinforce 23.8 kilometers of previous routes in Troka, Belategi, golf course, Uraburu, Solozarreta, Padrola, Artola, Minas, Basozabal and the Eitzaga oven. To do this, it has placed 22 wooden posts and 58 directional arrows, as well as a warning sign at an intersection. They have also moved an information panel and have repaired 7 broken signs.
