French Intermarché customers who bought sausages between February 9 and 13 are urged to be wary. The 300 g package containing six chipolatas “superior» of the Jean Rozé brand might contain traces of salmonella. The authorities ask them to bring the batch back to the store in order to proceed with the refund or, failing that, to destroy it.
The packets concerned are identifiable by their barcode bearing the number 3250392334710. Their expiry date is set at February 20. The product was marketed throughout France, exclusively in the stalls of Intermarché.

The bacteria at risk is likely to cause salmonellosis, a gastrointestinal disorder that manifests as diarrhea and vomiting, sometimes accompanied by fever and headache several hours following consumption of the product. “These symptoms may be more pronounced in young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly“, specify the authorities.
