A veritable arsenal of military weapons and explosives discovered in Bouge: two people deprived of their freedom


A search carried out Thursday followingnoon by the federal judicial police on the road to Hannut, in Bouge, led to the discovery of 23 long weapons of the military type, five handguns as well as a large quantity of ammunition and explosives, indicates the Namur public prosecutor’s office, confirming information from L’Avenir. Two people were deprived of their liberty.

The police were accompanied by the mine clearance service of the army and civil protection during the search. Part of the seizure was done in the house and part in the garden. The two suspects were to be heard by an investigating judge on Friday. The file might be linked to organized crime or terrorism.
