France no longer requires PCR test for travelers from China

“As of February 16, travelers from China to France are no longer required to present the result of a negative RT-PCR test less than 48 hours old as well as the sworn statement relating to Covid-19 “, according to a press release published Thursday evening by the French Embassy in Beijing.

“Random screening on arrival is also removed”, adds the text, which specifies that wearing a surgical mask on board aircraft remains compulsory.

Gradual lifting of restrictions everywhere

These measures, which concerned travelers aged 11 and over, had been imposed in early January when the Asian giant was faced with a surge in Covid cases following the lifting of its health restrictions in early December.

Like France, the United Kingdom, Italy or even the United States had taken this kind of precaution, which has since been gradually lifted.
