The Dow opened more than 100 points lower amid concerns regarding a Federal Reserve interest rate hike.

The New York Stock Exchange will be closed on Monday, Feb. 20 for President’s Day.

As of 9:31 p.m. Thai time, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was 33,569.10 points, down 127.75 points or 0.38%.

Goldman Sachs released a report expecting The Fed will raise interest rates by 0.25% three more times this year to a maximum range of 5.25-5.50% following it released higher-than-expected inflation figures. and a strong labor market

The report aligns with CME Group’s FedWatch Tool, which indicates that Investors expect the Fed to raise interest rates at its March, May and June meetings by 0.25% each to a maximum range of 5.25-5.50% and keep interest rates at that level. before cutting interest rates by 0.25% in December

St. Louis Fed President James Bullard said in support of a 0.50% rate hike at the March meeting.
