Western Digital launches hard disk drives with a capacity of up to 44 terabytes

Western Digital revealed the launch of external data storage drives with a capacity of up to 44 terabytes, as the company presented two new external storage drives, the first My Book with a storage capacity of 22 terabytes, and the second My Book Duo with a storage capacity of 44 terabytes.

The company stated that the first model of the disk will allow users to save thousands of photos, documents and video clips, and will also deal with “HDD and SSD” storage disks, in addition to many types of external memory cards.

And for users who want more storage space, the “My Book Duo” has a 44-terabyte hard disk drive with a size of “160/100/180” mm, and its advantage lies in the data backup technology between the two hard disk drives inside the device.

If one disk is corrupted, the data remains on another disk and can be set up so that each disk operates independently at the user’s discretion.

The price of the My Book copy is $ 599.99 in various countries of the world, while the price of the “My Book Duo” copy is regarding $ 1499.99.
