It should also be mentioned that the story is presented through images without stonewalling.
QPandaro has said that loan makes one brave. The difficulty lies in expressing love. After saying it, when the person on the opposite side understood his own love, then he became brave. To make her happy, he will go to any lengths for her. The newcomer Alvin Henty Christie has made a film combining these elements. The screenplay is written by Benjamin and G.R., stars of Malayalam literature. And Indugopan.
The film ultimately revolves around the love that a teenager named Roy has for his tutor Christy. The first thing Roy feels is fear when he sees Christy. But it is that fear that later grows the seeds of love in him and makes him brave. The film also discusses the changes in Christy and Roy’s life through the love story.
The background of the story is Thiruvananthapuram Poovar. Christy is an unexpected guest who enters Roy’s life as he frolics with his friends in a coastal village without any responsibilities. At one point, there is a situation in Roy’s life where he cannot leave Christy. The film goes straight into the story of Roy, Christy and those around them without much twists and turns. The director and his team are presenting a small story without any gimmicks.
Most importantly, Roy and Christy’s love is shown to be simple yet intense. The joy and pain that both of them feel comes across to the audience in just the right amount. It should also be mentioned that the story is presented through images without stonewalling. If you listen to some of the scenes where Roy comes, the audience will understand clearly which time it is.
The performances include Roy played by Matthew Thomas and Christy played by Malavika Mohanan. Matthew makes the best of the various stages in the life of a teenager named Roy. Roy’s transformation from a student who resents his tuition teacher to a lover who will go to any lengths for the one he loves and is willing to make any sacrifices is well portrayed by Matthew. Malavika also excels as Christy, who knows the depths of Roy’s love and is helpless in front of Roy’s love.
Joy Mathew as Christy’s father who sees everything negative and Nina Kurup as her mother are good. The vicar played by Rajesh Madhavan sprinkles humor in between. Manju Patros, Muthumani, Veena Nair and Benjamin also did justice to their respective characters. Anand C Chandran’s cinematography and Govind Vasantha’s music are superb. More than the songs, the background music of Roy-Christie love scenes will stay in your mind even following leaving the theater. Anyone who keeps love in their heart can read this love poem.
