Test: Wild Hearts wants to hunt the monster hunter

After decades of domination in the Land of the Rising Sun, then a growing popularity gain around the world since 2018 and the release of Monster Hunter World, it took until 2023 for Capcom to find an opponent to its size. If the team behind Toukiden learned a lot from their mistakes for Wild Hearts, it remains difficult to judge the latter without comparing it to the standard meter of the genre, especially when it keeps the same basic concept. In Monster Hunter as in Wild Hearts, no class system, no experience levels. Only armor and weapons with their very specific gameplay, and looping monster hunting to obtain the materials that will be used to improve our hunter’s set.
