A new solidarity mutual for more solidarity in our society

Who is not looking for a mutual health insurance that can help them effectively during problematic health situations? All sorts of tempting offers are present on the complementary health insurance market and the notion of mutual solidarity is of interest to more and more people. AÉSIO is one of the latest solidarity mutuals and it has many advantages.

What is a solidarity mutual?

The basis of the mutual health insurance is to offer additional reimbursement of medical expenses to members, in particular medical expenses not covered by Social Security. In order to offer the best coverage to their members, mutual companies each have their own strategies, but the foundation is generally mutual solidarity. This consists of access to medical care for everyone without selection criteria such as age or state of health (membership not subject to a medical questionnaire = mutual distinction // insurance), subject to the payment of a contribution.

There is even complementary health insurance (CSS, ex ACS) which is an offer intended for individuals or families with modest resources. This solution is offered to them once morest payment of a maximum of €1 per day. Everything is taken care of: consultation with the doctor, hospitalization, purchase of medicines, glasses, etc.

AÉSIO, the perfect solidarity mutual

Founded on July 16, 2016, AÉSIO now provides health care to more than 2.7 million members. More than 38,311 companies have decided to work with it. This organization, within the framework of mutual solidarity, is the result of the merger of three known and appreciated mutuals, namely ADRÉA Mutuelle, APRÉVA Mutuelle and EOVI-MCD Mutuelle.
This new mutual is a member of the Fédération Nationale de la Mutualité Française. In addition to its obligations as a health mutual, it has 3 additional values that differentiate it from the others: solidarity between its members, each member is the owner of the mutual and democracy.

Indeed, the Board of Directors is made up of members elected at the General Assembly. This mutual health insurance therefore has no shareholders to remunerate. All profits go to official members as part of access to care. It covers all areas of health, provident insurance, savings and retirement. In a few years, its objective is to offer a complete coverage service to the person, hence the idea of the founders to extend the partnership of mutual solidarity to other major players in complementary health such as the MACIF. In this regard, information on mutual solidarity is regularly shared on the official website of AESIO.
