Kuwait City: Company CEO Tamar Arab informed that the Daman hospitals built in Kuwait for the treatment of expatriates are fully operational. Tamar Arab said this at the inauguration ceremony of Daman Hospital in Jahra Governorate.
He explained that the company is operationally ready to receive patients at full capacity at all centers in Kuwait. Jahra’s 13 Daman Clinics and Hospitals are set to operate at a capacity of 2.43 lakh patients per year.
It has facilities including family medicine, paediatrics and dentistry. Four new health centers will also be operational this year in Salmiya, Riag, Bneid Al Ghar and Ahmadi.
He said that efforts are being made to increase the capacity to provide treatment facilities to more than 4.8 crore patients annually.
The construction of Daman Hospitals is part of the plan to replace the treatment facilities provided by the government hospitals to 18 lakh expatriates and their families in the private sector. The construction is done with public participation by giving 50 percent share to the citizens.
The decision to increase the annual health insurance fee for non-residents is also likely to come into effect soon following the hospital becomes operational at full capacity. In that case, the current rate will increase from 50 dinars to 130 dinars.
