LEONINE Studios has secured all exploitation rights to Ari Aster’s new feature film BEAU IS AFRAID for Germany and Austria. The art house hit EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE, which has been nominated for 11 Oscars® and has so far delighted more than 250,000 cinema viewers in Germany and Austria, is followed by BEAU IS AFRAID, the second collaboration between the two leading independent studios LEONINE and A24.
BEAU IS AFRAID starts in the USA on April 21, 2023. On May 11, 2023, the eagerly awaited third A24 feature film by Ari Aster (“Hereditary – Das Vermächtnis”, “Midsommar”) will be distributed by LEONINE Studios in Germany and Austrian cinemas.
Oscar® winner Joaquin Phoenix (“Joker”) stars in the lead role. Other roles are played by Nathan Lane (“The Producers”), Amy Ryan (“Central Intelligence”), Stephen McKinley Henderson (“Causeway”), Hayley Squires (“The Essex Snake”), Denis Ménochet (“Peter von Kant”) , Kylie Rogers (“Yellowstone”), Parker Posey (“Tales of the Walking Dead”) and Pattie LuPone (“American Horror Story”).
