President Maduro reopens radiotherapy and nuclear medicine service in Carabobo

During a day of work to strengthen the Public Health System, President Nicolás Maduro reopened the Dr. Francisco Polo Castellanos radiotherapy and nuclear medicine service of the Dr. Miguel Pérez Carreño Oncology Hospital, located in the Naguanagua municipality of Carabobo state.

Through a tour of the tomography areas, organ delineation room, linear accelerator control, physics and dosimetry department, high-cost pharmacy, and imaging service (RX and mammography), the President verified the operation and optimal conditions of the different clinics that will provide quality care to 60 daily patients (in two shifts).

Likewise, the high-tech equipment found in this health center was acquired thanks to the Venezuela-China agreement.

With the reopening of these services and facilities, the National Public Health System (SPNS) is strengthened throughout the territory in order to guarantee comprehensive care for the Venezuelan population.

At the beginning of February, the Venezuelan Head of State made the delivery of 49 fully recovered and equipped health centers in all the country.

Among the works delivered are: hospitals, popular clinics, research institutes, Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI), among others.

Similarly, the delivery of medical units, ophthalmological centers and diagnostic specialties was carried out for the Institute of Welfare and Social Assistance for the Personnel of the Ministry of Education (Ipasme).
