Samsung announces a feature to improve gaming performance and extend battery life

Samsung announced the support of a number of its phones with a new feature that significantly improves gaming performance and extends battery life, a feature that was available exclusively to the new Galaxy S23 series phones when it was launched at the beginning of this month, but Samsung started providing it for older phones.

The new feature is an option within the GameBooster application, which is an application that is available as a sub-menu in the Game Launcher application menu that is pre-installed on Samsung devices. The new option called Pause USB Power Delivery allows you to stop passing power through the phone’s battery and instead pass it directly to the processor, which contributes to preventing the battery from overheating. Hence improving gaming performance obviously.

The user does not need to update the operating system to obtain the feature, as the aforementioned option will automatically appear in the Game Booster application options menu, which is located sub-application within the (game launcher) application.

According to the website SamMobileThe feature is gradually available to users of the S22, Z Fold 2, Z Fold 3, and Z Fold 4 series phones, and it is expected to reach more devices soon. To get the feature, you must use the latest version of the application Game Booster Available via the Samsung App Store. For the feature to appear, the phone must be connected to a 45-watt fast charger.

It is noteworthy that the feature was previously available for a number of gaming phones such as the Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro, Black Shark 4 Pro, and Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro, but this is the first time that this feature reaches Samsung phones.

In addition to improving gaming performance and protecting the battery from loss, this feature also contributes to saving battery power consumption because the device relies entirely on the power coming from the phone charger, although its use is only possible while playing.
