Things are going even faster than we might imagine. The Plus version of ChatGPT has been available in Switzerland since Friday. Impatient users can therefore open their wallets for a product that remains experimental, with the associated risks…. Are you going to fall for this conversational robot?

It is a double message that must be understood: on the one hand, Internet users consider the service so valuable that they are ready to pay 21.54 dollars per month (with VAT) for an experimental tool, without guarantee as to the Data protection. Secondly, OpenAI, which makes this product available, sees no problem in releasing a solution that is not ready…

A simple example. Before subscribing to this service, I asked ChatGPT the following question: “What are the terms of service for ChatGPT Plus? Can you give me the internet link? since when you take out your credit card you don’t know the conditions of use, in particular the rules of confidentiality…

Okay so why are we paying? According to the brief message left on the OpenAi chatbot, the subscription provides safer access at all times, even when the servers are overloaded. ChatGPT would also respond faster. But what regarding the quality of the answers?

OpenAi promises to make the latest advancements available to its subscribers more quickly, which might eventually improve the quality of these algorithms. Be careful however, the warnings formulated in this note remain entirely valid! In particular, do not use information from ChatGPT if you are unable to verify its reliability!
