Au Vietnamaccording to the health department of the province of Binh Dinh, from early January to early February 2023, the whole province recorded a total of 312 dengue cases, with more than 70 new dengue cases recorded in a week, dozens of districts recorded at least one case. Currently, an epidemic of dengue fever has broken out in Vinh Hao commune (district of Vinh Thanhprovince de Binh Dinh).
Localities with many dengue fever patients in Binh Dinh province are as follows: Tuy Phuoc (36 cases); the cities of Quy Nhon (33 cas) ; An Nhon (46 cas) ; Hoai Nhon (34 cases) ; the districts of Tay Son (47 cases) and Vinh Thanh (39 cas).
Travelers are advised to protect themselves from mosquito bites. Standard vector control measures should be followed :
- Wearing covering clothes.
- Mosquito repellents, containing DEET, on uncovered skin.
- Mosquito net impregnated with insecticide for the siesta and the night.
- People who use sunscreen should apply the repellent 20 minutes following sunscreen.
In order to avoid the dissemination of the dengue virus as much as possible in mainland France, in the face of a sudden onset of fever and joint or muscle pain within 15 days of returning from a trip to a risk zone, it is necessary consult your doctor as soon as possible by reporting your trip.
