The Dentsu Group, a major company, has set up a new special committee made up of outside directors to investigate the cause of the arrest of a former executive at a subsidiary in a case related to the operation of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
In a case related to the operation of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office’s Special Investigation Department arrested former executives of Dentsu’s subsidiary Sports Business Bureau on suspicion of violating the Antimonopoly Act this month.
In response to a series of problems, the company set up a special committee on the 14th with three independent outside directors, including a former prosecutor.
In the future, under the leadership of this special committee, we will promptly establish a third-party committee consisting of external experts.
After that, in addition to investigating the cause, a third-party committee will compile recommendations on measures necessary to prevent recurrence.
