“International Monetary”: Maintaining job rates is a positive indicator of facing inflation

The Director General of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, stated that “the inflation crisis is still continuing in many global economies, but there are good indications of a gradual decline in inflation rates in several markets.”

In remarks on the sidelines of the session “The World Economy Between Radical Challenges and Qualitative Opportunities,” which was held on the first day of the World Summit of Governments, she indicated that “it cannot be confirmed that the global economy did not win in the face of inflation, but the indicators show the extent of the promising relative and gradual decline.” In many countries ».

Georgieva explained that “many companies in the European markets and the United States of America are still maintaining their job rates, which is a positive indicator in the face of inflation.”

She added, “The return of openness and strong economic growth in the Chinese markets following the pandemic, as well as in the American and European markets, is one of the indicators that give rise to strong optimism during the recent period.”

Georgieva emphasized that “there is economic momentum in many Gulf countries, most notably the UAE, following the changes imposed by the pandemic,” noting that “Gulf economies are currently characterized by the characteristics of positive economic diversification at large rates compared to previous periods.”

She explained, “With the UAE hosting the events of (COP 28), and the accompanying various activities, it is important to discuss the main goals of financing sustainability projects in developing countries to help them make an effective transition to green sustainability.”

She pointed out the need to be comprehensive in reviewing sustainability challenges, especially the means of financing, and linking with the outcomes of the recent “COP 27” conference.

Georgieva stressed the importance of the efforts made by various countries to effectively deliver aid to the earthquake-stricken areas in Turkey and northern Syria.
