Barcelona is the Dubai Confederations Cup champion

FC Barcelona retained the title of the sixth edition of the “Dubai Confederations Cup for U-13 Football” following defeating the Brazilian team Cruzeiro by penalty kicks, 4-3, following the regular time ended in a positive draw 1-1.

The tournament, organized by the Knights of Hispania Academy under the supervision of the Dubai Sports Council, witnessed the participation of more than 400 players from 20 teams, including four clubs representing the country: Al-Nasr, Al-Wasl, Shabab Al-Ahly, and Al-Wehda.

The winners of the tournament were crowned with collective and individual awards, Director of the Sports Development Department at the Dubai Sports Council, Ahmed Salem Al Mahri, and former Real Madrid player, Michel Salgado.

Chelsea player Hezkiah Grimwade won the title of best player in the tournament, while Cruzeiro player Kake Masudo won the tournament’s top scorer award, and the best goalkeeper award went to Pablo Peña of Barcelona.

As part of the silver cup competitions of the tournament, the Japanese team, Katak, won the title following defeating the Spanish team, Valladolid, in the match that ended in a goalless draw, and was decided by a penalty shootout, with Lukatak winning 5-4.

The tournament was held in accordance with the regulations and systems in force in the International Federation of Football Associations, and 20 teams from different continents of the world participated in it. They were divided into five groups: AC Milan, Spanish Valladolid, Japanese team Katak, Emirati unit, English Chelsea, Spanish Knights from the Emirates, Omani Muscat, Spain White Knights, Spanish Barcelona, ​​CAF Canada, Emirati victory, Russian Rodina, Spanish Real Madrid, Emirati youth Al-Ahly, Saudi conquest, Cypriot Paphos, Brazilian Cruzeiro, Spanish RC Celta, Egyptian Z, Emirati Al Wasl.

The championship comes within the framework of a comprehensive plan adopted by the Dubai Sports Council to organize sports tournaments for various age groups for young people, with local and international participation.
