Spotted a pig-tailed monkey that got lost in a people’s garden

The Forest Protection Agency in TT-Hue has just received individual rare animals discovered by local people in their garden for release procedures to be released into the natural environment.

According to information from the TT-Hue Provincial Forest Protection Department on the followingnoon of February 13, Mr. Nguyen Thuan (living in Group 10, Thuy Phuong ward, Huong Thuy town, TT-Hue province) discovered a stray monkey in the garden. my house.

Suspecting this is a rare animal, Mr. Thuan arrested him to avoid the danger of hunting traps. After that, he actively contacted the Forest Protection Department of Huong Thuy town.

By February 13, the Forest Protection Department of Huong Thuy town had completed handling procedures for receiving this wild animal, taking care of it, nurturing it, and then releasing it into the natural environment.

Through testing, the above-mentioned forest animal belongs to the pig-tailed macaque (scientific name Macaca leonina), weight 4.7 kg, normal health condition; on the list of endangered and rare forest animals, group IIB according to the Government’s regulations on management of endangered and rare forest plants and animals and the implementation of the international convention on trade in animals, endangered wild plants.
