The Spanish newspaper “bolavip” revealed the interest of the Saudi youth club in the Ecuadorean player Ener Valencia, the Fenerbahce player, as his contract with the Turkish team approaches the end.
The newspaper said that the Fenerbahçe player received many offers to continue his career outside Europe, and the most prominent offers were from clubs in South America, specifically the Brazilian Porto Alegre, in addition to the interest of Saudi youth.
She indicated that the financial offers presented to the player, and even the renewal amount from his club, is not comparable to the financial offer submitted by the Middle East, specifically from Al-Shabab.
And press reports had revealed that the Ecuadorian player had received a great offer from a Saudi club, in light of Fenerbahce’s desire to extend the player’s contract.
The 33-year-old Valencia’s contract with Fenerbahce, which he joined in 2020, from Mexico’s Tigres Onal, expires at the end of the current season.
Valencia is one of the best scorers in the Turkish league, as he succeeded this season in scoring 20 goals, during the 18 matches he played with Fenerbahce, and he also made 4 goals.
The striker has previously played for many clubs, most notably: Ecuadorian Emilic, Mexican Pachuca, West Ham United, and Everton (loan) of England.
Al-Nasr, Al-Shabab and Al-Ittihad are at the top of the Saudi Roshen League table, and each of them scored 37 points, but Al-Nasr and Al-Ittihad played 16 matches each, compared to 17 for Al-Shabab.
