A meteoroid disintegrated over France tonight.
The sky lit up this morning around 4 o’clock in the north of France. A meteoroid, small asteroid, entered the atmosphere where it ignited before disintegrating. This was particularly visible over Rouen, but some saw it from Paris and even London.

The meteoroid as expected entered Earth’s atmosphere over the English Channel at 3:59 a.m. before disintegrating. Several people say they heard a sound following filming it. Given its small diameter, it represented no danger on the ground. Some witnesses managed to film the event.
The arrival of this one meter diameter meteoroid was predicted. The object had been spotted a few days ago by Christian Sarnecki and named following the first letters of his name Sar2667. This is the seventh time that an asteroid has been predicted before its passage, thanks to technological advances.
