New Delhi: The venue for India’s third Test once morest Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy has been changed. The match was shifted from the Dharamsala Stadium in Himachal Pradesh to the stadium in Indore.
The third test is from March 1 to 5. The venue was changed due to the ongoing heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh. BCCI confirmed the change of venue.
Only one Test match has been played at the Dharamsala Stadium so far. The match was once morest Australia in 2017. Dharamsala has hosted many Twenty20 and ODI matches.
The venue was changed due to inclement weather just before the second match was to be played. Due to heavy snowfall, there is not enough grass on the ground. BCCI’s assessment is that it will take more time to become grass.
