NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has no plans to extend his term of office once more. Writes regarding it “Kommersant”referring to the German news agency dpa and the representative of the head of the alliance, Oana Lungescu.
“He has no intention of seeking another mandate extension,” Lungescu said.
NATO countries have already extended Stoltenberg’s term of office three times. He has been in office for almost nine years. The Secretary General was supposed to retire in October 2022, but the leaders of the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance extended the mandate until the end of September 2023.
