Peggy Melati’s Way to Convince Your Heart When Taaruf Via WhatsApp

Jakarta

For a long time now, Peggy Melati Sukma already has a companion. She married a man named Reza Abdul Jabbar.

They are not in a relationship like lovers before marriage. Peggy Melati Sukma chose to undergo taaruf.

Incidentally, at that time, Peggy Melati Sukma’s future husband did not live in Indonesia. They then chose to communicate via short messaging applications.

“We are taaruf, yes, and not long in a matter of days. So in a matter of days we have never met because he is domiciled in New Zealand, yes, it has been decades, and Teteh (Peggy Melati Sukma) is in Indonesia,” said Peggy Melati Sukma, met at the Area Graha Raya, Bintaro, South Tangerang on Saturday (11/2/2022).

“So really the introduction was through taaruf via WhatsApp and maybe only a few times on the phone, yes, that too because of course the fundamental discussions related to religious affairs, yes, in the framework of that time, the goal was to get married, so it was inevitable to have to talk in phone. Then it is inevitable to have to talk on the phone,” he said once more.

Communication was so limited. Peggy Melati Sukma also does not make video calls in order to protect the teachings she believes in.

“Even though there is no video call because the best way is according to Sharia, right? That’s what we must uphold,” he explained.

Furthermore, Peggy Melati Sukma later felt that she had a lot in common with Reza. The same feeling is also said to be in Reza’s heart.

“After the discussion, thank God, Allah allowed us to be in the same corridor, we have a lot in common in responding to the sunnah, thank God, he also decided to get married at that time. Yes, that’s why we met in a matter of days on the wedding day,” he explained.
