Ahmed Abdelkader, who also scored twice (38th, 60th), had nevertheless placed Al Ahly in front on the hour mark. But a penalty missed by defender Ali Maaloul and the exclusion of Khalid Abdullfatah in the 69th minute torpedoed the Egyptian club’s hopes of a comeback.
The final of the Club World Cup will oppose Real Madrid to the Saudis of Al-Hilal on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in Rabat (19:00 GMT).
