The implementation of the project will contribute conserve indigenous plant varieties, and at the same time create opportunities for people to directly participate in biodiversity protection activities and join hands to protect the environment sustainably in the direction of a green economy, proactively adapting to climate change. climate change.
The project will be implemented from January to September 2023. The project is financially supported by the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam through the “Conservation Fund” project by the Nuoc Viet Center for Biodiversity Conservation. Green (GreenViet) and the Gustav – Stresemann Institute (GSI, Germany) jointly implemented.
The project will collect seeds locally to build a nursery with an area of 200m2; then provide technical guidance, pilot planting in households on 800m2 and proceed to expand the area by 2,500m2 in the next crop.
The implementation process will combine instructions on harvesting and processing techniques to create sustainability of the model.
