Deaths related to COVID-19 continued to pile up on Friday, including three people who lost their lives in the past 24 hours.
Of the 13 deaths reported in the latest toll, nine occurred more than seven days ago and one two to seven days ago.
Since the start of the pandemic, 18,015 Quebecers have died as a result of COVID-19.
For their part, hospitalizations have started to fall once more following a brief episode of increase. Authorities reported 1,346 patients with the disease hospitalized, including 416 for this specific reason, a drop of 32.
In intensive care, 24 patients were being treated, 11 of them due to illness, a drop of three.
In addition, 538 new cases were recorded for the day on Thursday, a data to be taken with a grain of salt since the screening centers are reserved for certain priority clienteles. On the same day, Quebecers declared 41 rapid tests, including 37 positive.
For vaccination, 1953 doses were administered.
