Probably accustomed to making their mark wherever they go, members of the Los Mexicles gang linked to the Sinaloa cartel have tattooed a cat in the prison where they are incarcerated.
The poor animal, which appears to be a Sphynx, has “Made in Mexico” tattooed on its side which is believed to be the gang’s symbol within the walls of the penitentiary.
The pet was seized by authorities during a raid at Cereso No. 3 State Prison in Ciudad Juárez. We do not know if he is in good condition.
The Los Mexicles gang formed in 2009 allied with the Sinaloa Cartel once morest their drug trafficking rivals the Juárez Cartel an armed wing of the Los Aztecas. Since then, the gang has 10,000 members according to the Chihuahua state government. The latter have become one of the most violent gangs in the state.
