Those who own a MacBook, iMac or iPhone tend to use the Apple system’s own resources. An example of this is the Calendar app on macOS and iOS. However, as not everyone uses the Apple ecosystem, sometimes Apple users need to adapt to the most popular programs, such as the Outlook calendar.
Outlook is the online email service developed by Microsoft that runs on your computer. So it’s not that simple to use it on your iPhone. Fortunately, there is a way to make access easier by synchronizing your Outlook calendar with an iPhone.
Below are two different ways you can sync Outlook calendar to iPhone.
How to sync Outlook via iPhone Mail?
To sync Outlook calendar with iPhone, follow these steps:
- Download Microsoft Outlook for iPhone (Download);
- Then log in and enable automatic synchronization;
- Afterwards, when the Outlook app is downloaded, go to settings no iPhone;
- Then go to Mail > Accounts > To add account;
- Once that’s done, look for the Outlook.com option and logo;
- Add your Microsoft Account information to connect Outlook on iOS. You should be asked if you want to sync your calendars – answer that Sim. Otherwise, you can access the Outlook application at settings at any time and make sure calendar sync is enabled;
- Import the information from icloud calendarif necessary;
- Sign in to iCloud. You can use the iCloud for Windows to do this directly from a Windows computer, which is less complicated than trying to do it from an iPhone;
- Log in to your account and make sure you only tick the box with Mail, contacts, calendars e Tasks. select Apply to move forward;
- You can decide whether to sync all information from your calendar, contact, and task apps or choose specific information to share;
- Choose whether to sync all calendars on macOS;
- It’s also possible to hide specific calendars, which you can do by launching Outlook on your iPhone. Once in the app, tap the icon Calendar and then your account icon;
- Uncheck the calendars you don’t want displayed.
How to add Outlook calendar to iPhone with iTunes?
If you use iTunes a lot, here is a way to sync and add your Outlook calendar to iPhone:
- Connect the iPhone to the computer with the USB cable;
- If iTunes doesn’t open automatically, launch it;
- Click on your device icon and open the tab Information;
- Once this is done, mark Sync calendars with and select Outlook no suspense menu;
- Then choose to sync all calendars or just selected calendars using the provided settings;
- Finally, tap Apply to start syncing your calendars to your iPhone.
Please note that iCloud must be disabled for iTunes calendar sync to work. On iPhone, go to settings > your username > iCloud and turn off iCloud for the Calendars app.
Connect iPhone to your computer, open iTunes and click on your device icon. Click on the tab Information no iTunes e check sync calendarsselect your calendar management program and click the button Synchronize.
