Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Minister of Education, Youssef Al-Bunyan, approved the controls governing tuition fees in private schools for the year 2023.
The controls included obligating the private school to register its tuition fees, its effective date, and any change to it through the private education portal on the tuition fees program’s electronic link.
It also obligated her to determine and register the tuition fees through the portal one year before the start of the academic year, and any amendment to the fees following that period will not be considered.
Prevent increase during the school year
The controls also prevented an increase in fees during the school year, provided that the school that does not comply with these controls is dealt with in accordance with the provisions contained in the Private Schools Regulation issued by Cabinet Resolution No. 1006 dated 8/13/1395.
The controls stipulate that the Ministry of Education publishes on its website a list of tuition fees for schools, and it is the reference in the presence of any dispute. According to these controls, a committee will be formed in the ministry by a decision of the minister concerned with reviewing the controls governing tuition fees for private schools, and is specialized in reviewing the level of commitment of private schools.
