Zelensky says he has to force Scholz to help Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview Spiegel said that it was difficult for him to achieve the supply of German Leopard tanks. He believes that he has to “force” German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to help Kyiv.

“Now we are in a difficult phase once more with this debate regarding German tanks, it is emotional and difficult. I have to force him (Olaf Scholz.— “uh”) to help Ukraine and constantly convince that this help is not for us, but for the Europeans,” Mr. Zelensky said (quoted by RIA Novosti).

In January, the German authorities allowed other countries to send their German Leopard tanks to Ukraine. Berlin itself announced the delivery of 14 tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to ABC, 12 countries are ready to supply Ukraine with a total of 100 Leopard 2 tanks. After that, the President of Ukraine began to ask allies for long-range aircraft and missiles.
