FN Herstal: 3 resignations recorded including that of the former CEO implicated following the embezzlement of more than 15 million euros

The Board of Directors of Wallonie Entreprendre (WE) announced on Thursday that it had “taken note” the resignations of two officials of FN Herstal: the chairman of the board of directors of the public company; Jean-Sébastien Belle, and the administrator and former CEO, Philippe Claessens, implicated following the embezzlement of more than 15 million euros to the detriment of the company.

WE’s Board of Directors also said in a statement, “that, given his position as chairman of the audit committee (of FN Herstal), it is appropriate to terminate the term of office of Mr. Laurent Levaux as director, with effect from February 13, 2023, following an Audit Committee which will be organized in the presence of representatives of the Board of Directors of Wallonie Entreprendre“. “These three resignations are recorded even if of course there is no element to associate them with the criminal acts committed and without calling into question the essentials and the quality of the work accomplished by the resigning“, adds the press release.
