Anyone who has been following the world of technology for a reasonable amount of time has probably already stumbled upon a piece of news saying that any Apple device generates more revenue than entire companies. Sometimes the product in question isn’t even a device as popular as the iPhone, but rather an accessory or something smaller like the AirPods.
What may end up going unnoticed by us is that this trend is far from exclusive to Apple hardware. Services like iCloud+o Apple TV+o Apple Musicamong others, also move colossal amounts of money every year, leaving many billionaire companies in the dust.
A survey released today by Fineball helps us get a better sense of the size and influence of the Cupertino giant. According to the vehicle, combined, Apple services generated regarding $80 billion throughout 2022 — more than Nike e McDonald’s… together.
For comparison purposes, the sporting goods company collected in the last year regarding $50 billionwhile the network fast food, $23 billion. The search also includes other famous names such as Intel (~$63 billion), a Netflix (~$32 billion), a Boeing (~$67 billion), a American Airlines (~$50 billion) and Coca-Cola (~$42 billion).
As noted by the outlet, having expanded into the services sector has given Apple a more stable source of revenue. In this way, the company does not feel so much the impact of possible problems involving the performance of its other products in stores around the world, such as those caused by delays in production.
The survey also projected a very optimistic future for Apple’s services and expects them to grow even more both among ordinary consumers and in the corporate market. New services like Apple Pay Laterpresented at the last WWDC, should also boost the company’s revenue.
