The Internet user recounted his terrible misadventure on Twitter. In his new Tesla Model Y, Prerak Patel was driving down the highway when his vehicle’s steering wheel came off and fell into his lap: “I was lucky that there was no car behind and I was able to stop”he explains.
The man immediately notified Tesla of the incident he had suffered. At first, the brand had declared that it was not responsible.
Faced with this reaction, Prerak Patel shared his misadventure on social networks. The case escalated and Tesla eventually reversed its decision and agreed to repair his vehicle for free.
