On the occasion of the record results revealed on Tuesday by BNP Paribas, the leading European bank revealed the latest figures for the conquest of its subsidiaries Nickel and Hello bank!. Success is still there for Nickel, which has now reached the bar of 3 million customers. Online banking Hello bank! continues to grow and exceeds 750,000 customers.
Anne is prosperous for BNP Paribas. On Tuesday, the first European bank unveiled a record amount of profits: 10.2 billion euros for 2022. Dazzling results tarnished by the announcement a few hours later of the elimination of 921 jobs in France, out of the 5,142 of its subsidiary dedicated to consumer credit, BNP Paribas Personal Finance. Job cuts that will be made without forced departure, underlined the bank. But among the activities of BNP Paribas, there are at least two subsidiaries which have recorded strong growth in their activity: these are Nickel and Hello bank!.
Launched in 2014, then acquired by BNP Paribas in 2017, Nickel had 3millions de clients in France at the end of 2022, compared to 2.4 million a year earlier (+24.5%). Available in more than 7,000 tobacconists, at a price of 20 euros per year, the Nickel account has therefore gained 600,000 additional customers over 12 months.
