Mali’s transitional government dismisses 6 senior military officials | Africa

February 9, Council of Ministers belong to transitional government in Mali announced the dismissal of 6 senior military officials of the country including Army Chief of Staff and the National Guard, without giving any reason.

The leaders of the national gendarmerie, military security, military engineering and military medicine were also replaced.

From 2012 to the present, Mali has been affected by the rise of jihadism and a serious security, political and humanitarian crisis.
