A survey by Navigos Group shows that the banking, insurance, and technology industries are paying high salaries. The position of general director and chief executive officer of the insurance industry has a salary of regarding 950 million VND/month.
In the salary survey report 2023, Mr. Gaku Echizenya, General Director of Navigos Group assessed that the picture of Vietnam’s labor market has many bright spots, the labor force tends to increase rapidly and stably.
Although at the end of 2022, there will be a situation where export processing enterprises have difficulties in ordering orders and have to cut workers, but this does not affect the overall labor situation much.
The labor force is still developing in the direction of improving the quality, and the salary of the middle and high-ranking personnel group is still growing steadily.
More than 67% of employees in this group surveyed answered that their income increased. In which, 27% answered salary increase at 5-10%. Salary increase less than 5% accounts for more than 15%. An increase from 10%-15% is almost 12%. Salary increase 15%-20% is more than 9%, increase over 20% has nearly 4%. Only 0.21% of respondents said that the salary decreased.
In the middle and senior staff group, there are many positions with a salary of $ 1,000 / month. Jobs with a salary of 10,000 USD/month (nearly 240 million VND/month) are also not uncommon, especially in “hot” industries such as banking, real estate, construction, fast-moving consumer goods…
The industry group with the most jobs with the highest salary of 10,000 USD in 2022 is still banking. But the highest salary recorded is the position of general director / executive director of the insurance industry, with a figure of up to 40,000 USD/month (regarding 950 million VND).
The real estate industry is quite quiet in 2022 but still records the highest salary for the position of general director in Ho Chi Minh City at 20,000 USD/month.

Head of accounting department in real estate & construction, insurance and consumer companies has the highest salary up to 15,000 USD/month, in banking industry is 20,000 USD/month. Directors, heads of information technology department in the banking industry recorded the highest salary up to $ 25,000 / month.
The above survey of Navigos also shows that nearly half of survey respondents expect a salary increase of 10% or more in 2023. Others hope the company gets more benefits from collective activities. Employees also expect businesses to have more benefits on holidays, vacations and increase allowances.
