Former Turkey national goalkeeper and Hatayspor coach Volkan Demirel told the newspaper “Hürriyet” that, contrary to reports to the contrary, he had not yet received any sign of life from the 31-year-old Ghanaian.
“Please don’t claim that this or that person was saved without being 100 percent sure. These people have families whose hopes, worries and pain will keep rising,” Demirel said on Wednesday.
Atsu fell from the ninth floor

“The last I heard from him was at midnight on Sunday. Christian and his teammates played poker at a friend’s apartment until 3:30 a.m.,” Sechere reported. The agent later repeated on Twitter that the whereregardings of his client were still unclear. “As you can imagine, this continues to be a devastating time for his family and we are doing everything we can to locate Christian,” he said.
