That’s what it’s regarding

  • North Korean ruler Kim Jong-un is showing up with his daughter more and more often at official meetings.

  • The approximately ten-year-old Kim Ju Ae was shown publicly by her father for the fourth time.

  • Meanwhile, his country is “celebrating” the 75th anniversary of the army.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has brought his daughter, around 10 years old, to a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the communist state’s armed forces. He praised the “irresistible power” of the nuclear-armed military, state media reported on Wednesday.

It was nine or ten-year-old Kim Ju Ae’s fourth public appearance. She stood close to her father as he declared that it was “the greatest honor” for him to be commander-in-chief of armed forces that were “the strongest in the world” despite all external difficulties.

Kim also appeared with his wife, Ri Sol Ju, at a banquet attended by senior officers, believed to be at a Pyongyang hotel. The daughter, who was described as “respected” and “loved”, was the focus of official reporting. Kim’s decision to take her to an official appointment also fueled a debate over whether he wanted to set up his daughter as his successor.
