A consultation will take place during the first half of 2023 before ending in May to come up with a control plan by the summer.
Faced with the violence suffered by health professionals, Agnès Firmin Le Bodo, Minister Delegate in charge of Territorial Organization and Health Professions, announced this Friday that a fight plan would be put in place by summer.
A consultation will take place during the first half of 2023 before ending in May, she specified in a statement. The first plenary meeting of the consultation will be held on February 16 at the ministry and will mark the start of the work.
Nathalie Nion, APHP senior health manager, and Doctor Jean-Christophe Masseron have been assigned to guarantee the proper conduct of this consultation.
37% of hospital health professionals regularly assaulted
“It is essential to rely on health professionals as well as on all the stakeholders and actors involved in the safety of caregivers to think of effective measures that correspond to their expectations and their daily constraints”, explains Agnès Firmin Le Bodo.
“Particular attention will be paid in particular to the protection of caregivers working outside health establishments and to the support of victims”, continued the Minister Delegate.
In France, 37% of hospital health professionals say they regularly suffer physical attacks. This figure rises to 84% for caregivers, according to the MNH-Odoxa 2022 barometer. The National Observatory of Violence in Healthcare Environments (ONVS) has identified 19,328 reports of attacks on persons or property in 2021 and 34,550 professionals victims of this violence.
