Stab in the heart of father Prince Philip († 99)

Prince Philip: Clear opinion on King Charles III.

As Clive Irving has now reported, the author is said to have quoted Tina Brown’s Prince Philip in her book “The Palace Papers” and made it clear:

Brown quotes Prince Philip as saying Andrew is a ‘natural boss’

In addition, the husband of the late Queen wmay have had more confidence in his younger son’s ability than that of the current king. In the year 1993 Philip is said to have even publicly complained that Charles “not what it takes to be king” have. Tina Brown analyzed in her book:

Andrew’s temperament – hearty, robust, argumentative – suited Philip better than Charles. He was less susceptible to his father’s casual tactlessness.

Royal biographer Penny Junor also confirmed how difficult the relationship between Charles and his father was in 1988 and meant that Charles and Philip never talked to each other like father and son have. The troubled relationship is said to have strengthened, especially following Charles’ public affair with Queen Consort Camilla. Following the infamous leak of a private phone call between Charles and his then-lover Camilla, now known as “Tampon Gate” is known, Prince Philip in particular was shocked at how he loved his family “humble” might and should have expressed his concerns for the first time, if Charles really had what it takes to be king.

Whether Prince Philip would be proud of his eldest son in his new position, King Charles III. unfortunately never found out.
