Gradually, the Meta will standardize its platforms and bring to the WhatsApp some news present on Instagram, for example, for some time.
Today, the company announced the arrival of several resources for Status that were in testing for a long time — and also recalled some that had already been released.
Starting with privacy, Status posts now have a unique audience selector. Located at the top left of the “Status” tab, the “Privacy” menu allows you to select who you would like (or not) see your post: “My Contacts”, “My Contacts, except…” or “Share only with…”. As you choose, the option will be saved as the default for your next publication.
A novelty that was already being tested was the Voice Status, which allows you to make an audio post on Status. The user will be able to record a voice message of up to 30 seconds and share it with the public selected in the Privacy menu.
Other features that have arrived in the app for some time have also gained prominence as recent news, namely: reactions with emoji to respond to Status (which, according to the company, was last year’s most requested feature); O in the circle of the States around the user’s photo in the chat list, to show that there are new posts; and also the link preview in Statusto show the link content in a more presentable and visual way.
As with most news, they are already being released gradually to users around the world – everyone should have access to them in the coming weeks.
