The incriminated products were sold in Colruyt stores in Belgium and via Collect&Go between 28/1/2023 and 6/2/2023 inclusive and bear the expiry dates (DLC) of 21/2/2023, 26/2 /2023 and 28/2/2023.

Customers who have purchased this product are invited not to consume it and to bring it back to the store, where they will be reimbursed, adds Colruyt, which specifies that the products concerned have been removed from the shelves.

Infection with the Listeria monocytogenes bacterium can be dangerous for young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised people and the elderly, recalls the chain. Possible symptoms are characterized by nausea and vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhea or constipation, headache and persistent fever. These symptoms usually appear within 2 to 60 days following consumption.

People who have consumed this product and who have these types of symptoms are advised to consult their doctor, the store adds.
