Sir Alex’s ‘right hand’ has a big task in Qatar

(PLO)- The Qatar team must qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

That is the task of the former “right hand” of Sir Alex Ferguson at MU. Coach Carlos Queiroz has just been signed by the Qatar Football Federation as the head coach of the Qatar team to replace Mr. Feliz Sanchez following the team’s defeat at the 2022 World Cup as the host. Qatar “marked history” as the host of the World Cup but lost all three group stage matches.

Strategist Felix Sanchez once lost to U-23 Vietnam in Changzhou 2018 in the Asian U-23 semi-finals.

Immediately following failing to bring Qatar into the 1/8 round at the 2022 World Cup, Felix Sanchez was fired. Before that, he was best supported by this country to forge troops from participating in the Copa America, the Gold CONCACAF Cup, to the Asian and European World Cup qualifiers. But in the 2022 World Cup, Qatar performed too poorly.

Coach Carlos Queiroz took the hot seat instead of Felix Sanchez with the task of helping Qatar qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

On March 13, the Portuguese strategist turns 70 years old. Carlos Queiroz, in addition to being the “right hand” of Sir Alex during the glorious years of MU, he also coached the Colombia, Egypt, and Iran teams, four times bringing the teams to the World Cup.

At the 2022 World Cup, Queiroz’s Iran team had internal problems that led to a disastrous loss of England 2-6, a 0-1 loss to the US, and a 2-0 victory over Wales that were eliminated right following the group stage.

Iran decided to part ways with coach Carlos Queiroz. Iran once intended to put Carlos Queiroz in the chair of technical director of the Iranian Football Federation. Queiroz himself did not want to leave Iran.

But now Carlos Queiroz has found a new destination, which is rich, potential Qatar, and the search route for the Qatar team for the 2026 World Cup ticket is very affordable and good, because the 2026 World Cup has 48 teams. The time is still long, so it’s not too stressful.
