CNT: “Parliament and refoundation of the State” on the menu of a special plenary

The National Council of the Transition (CNT) held a special plenary this Monday, January 06, 2023, under the theme “Parliament and the refoundation of the State”.

This special plenary was attended by the presidents of the national transitional advisers of Burkina Faso, Dr Ousmane Bougouma, and of Mali Colonel Malick Diaw, the first Vice-president of the CNT of Chad, Dr Khadidja Adoum Attimer, the 2nd Vice-president of the ECOWAS Parliament, Sâni Malan Boukary accompanied by the Administrative Secretary of the Parliament, Abdoul Aziz Moctar, the President of the Guinea-Cote d’Ivoire Friendship Group, the Honorable Sié Raoul and the Executive Director of the Hampâté BA Foundation, Rokiatou Hampâté Ba.

In turn, these leaders mentioned above have all expressed the wish for a rapid return to constitutional order in the four countries Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso and Chad. Moreover, they declare that all these States suffer from the same problems whether they are bad governance, non-respect of legal texts, electoral fraud, exclusion, corruption, and impunity.

This is why these parliamentarians stressed that for a better approach, there must be solidarity in the materialization of the sub-regional and continental development objectives of African countries. Another wish was expressed to move towards economic integration and that of peoples. That is to say the idea of ​​creating a community where the debates must be held.
